Spinning Top Jazz!

Today Daddy was practicing his Koma (Japanese Spinning Top) skills. The Koma is an old Japanese spinning top that uses a cord wrapped around the conical part to spin it. Children usually play with it during the New Years holiday period. Jazz was very curious about this thing that danced across the living room floor. Dixie on the other hand was scared of it and ran off to hide.

Now that looks interesting! On a string kinda like the way a yoyo spins.

Yeah its kinda like that. You have to wind the cord round and round like a yoyo then through it forward onto the floor while pulling the cord back. Its quite tricky, something that mummy hasn't yet gotten the hang of!

Hi Guys,
That top does indeed make me a little dizzy. I think if I looked at it too much I would end up with permanent wrinkles on my brow!

Yes Dixie and I are quite different in nature. When I was a puppy I never chewed up mummy's things but Dixie can not stop!! She still hasn't got the hand of walking on the lead either and always seems to tangle us all up on walks. Dixie also doesn't like to be carried or held much but I love it and often ask mum to pick me up even though Im a bit on the heavy side. Dixie burps after every meal, something I have never done!! There are many differences but a few similarities as well. We love each other and can't be separated now.
