On the way home from this afternoons walk we stopped in at Pet and You pet shop to but some chewy bones, pigs ears and minty toothbrushes. Dixie chews like no dog Ive known so in order to stop her chewing our things I have to keep a stock pile of chewy things to keep her occupied! Right now Jazz and Dixie are both knawing on white gum bones which they enjoy.

mmm Fei loves pig's ears but I won't let her have greenies. I'm abit paranoid about some (not sure if they have been validated) stories about them.

I haven't heard the stories about greenies. Its the first time Ive bought them. Whats wrong with them?

We aren't allowed to have Greenies any more - just 'cuz we can take the really BIG ones and eat them in under one minute. We kinda ... forget to chew. There is a concern about chunks getting stuck in our digestive tracts. If you chew them, I think they're OK.

It was on a podcast I heard that some dogs died from greenies. I'm not sure how validated these stories are. I gave Fei heaps of greenies before but I've stopped.

Thanks for the info about Greenies. Needless to say mummy has taken them away! We looked into the other toys/chewy bones you recommended and may have to look at mummy with those very pleading eyes next time we are in the pet shop to see what we can do.
