Fun in the Sun

Jazz and Dixie love lying in sun spots in the apartment and now with the spring sun they are able to soak up some rays every morning. They share a medium sized cushion no problem. This morning I caught them mouthing each other and rolling around together. Their faces look a little scary here but it was all in fun and there was no growling or biting involved.

They are gorgeous photos.

We can almost touch their soft ears from here!

Xsara loves sunbathing even in the summer, we have to drag her in the shadow. But my king size bed is sometimes hardly big enough for her, so I think she wouldn't enjoy sharing it with another dog as much as Jazz and Dixie do. But I'm sure she would get used to it. How long did it take your dogs to get used to one another?

I will definitely get a new puppy in the next couple of years (I'm already looking around and if I find the right one tomorrow, I won't hesitate). However I will try another breed before getting a new beagle. I love beagles very much and I will always have them, but I also want to try something new. I will probably get my second beagle a couple of years after that, but I am willing to wait until I find the right one.

Thank you so much for sharing your experiences, I am concerned that Xsara would get annoyed by another pup since she's used to having me for herself, but I guess she will get used to it when she sees everything is the same and that she still has plenty of quality time with me.

Too cute! Truman likes to bask in the sun on the back patio. He comes in when his fur gets too warm and he starts panting. But on mild spring days, he can stay out there for hours, eyes closed blissfully.
