Day 2 of Awesome Doggy Fun!
As I mentioned on Tuesday, Jazz and Dixie had to go to school twice this week. Not that they minded! Today Dixie made another new friend, a very playful Dacshund, at Dog Inc for the first time. She really seems to like Dacshands. Hey Lorenza, Dixie would also like to play with you I'm sure. Jazz played with her old friend Azuki, the Shiba Inu and was apparently very active today.

A New Beagle Friend
Today I had to work late so I sent Jazz and Dixie to Dog Inc. They met a new lemon beagle friend, called Urma. They all had fun playing together! A day at home to rest tomorrow and then back to school for the girls on Thursday. I don't like leaving them at home if I come home later than six so if I have to work extra then I book them in for an extra day at school. I don't think they mind because as you can see from all the pictures we get, they seem to be demanding their fare share of the teachers' attention!

An Award and a Great Afternoon!
I am settling into holiday mode only to have to go back to work tomorrow! These last four days I've been able to spend a lot of time with Jazz and Dixie and most of the time has been spent outdoors enjoying the gorgeous weather. I've also had time to post on our blog and to visit friends' blogs. It has been great catching up on what everyone is doing. This afternoon Jazz, Dixie and I went for a marathon walk. First we walked over to Setagaya park where we have met our friend, Fei a few times before. Then it was on to Dog Garden Cafe for a coffee and hotcakes with maple syrup for me and banana bread for Jazz and Dixie, which by the way they loved! Then we walked along a cherry tree , lined walking path in a big circle ending up back home, the whole walk and rest stop taking about 3 hours! Needless to say Jazz and Dixie are now fast asleep on the sofa.
Over the weekend we were also awarded the Community Blogger Award by our good friend, River. Thanks to River for passing on this award to us and thanks to everyone who visits our blog, making our dog blogging community a fun and enjoyable one. We would like to pass it on to Girl Girl, Hammer and Harry&Cassidy.
Komazawa Park in Autumn Colours
This morning on our usual morning walk I noticed how the early morning light is really making the autumn trees in the park look beautiful. So after I took the girls home I got on my bicycle to take another lap around the park and snap some of the trees in their best autumn dress. Its really hard to stop and take photos when I have Jazz and Dixie wiith me as they are always sniffing, pulling or eating something disgusting so I went solo this morning. I am very lucky to be living next to such a wonderful park in Tokyo - I think the greenery and wonderful colours keeps me sane in this conrete jungle!

Matsudo Dog Run
Today, being another glorious autumn day, Shin deceided to take us to a new dog run on the other side of Tokyo. When we arrived at Matsudo Dog Run we were happy to find it was fairly large and clean. There were three dog runs next to each other, one for big dogs, another for medium dogs and the last one for small dogs. Being medium sized dogs we let Jazz and Dixie loose in the middle dog run. At first they had it all to themselves but were soon joined by a very energetic Basset Hound and a Toy Poodle. After those two left, another Beagle arrived, a nine month old little girl who wanted to play with Jazz and Dixie. Soon after another two more Beagles arrived - one an eight month old boy and the other a 2 month old girl. Dixie played with the boy beagle for a while and Jazz growled at him to keep his distance. The 2 month old lemon beagle was the sweetest little dog you could ever imagine. We never saw Jazz and Dixie that young as they were almost 5 months when we got them. She was so full of energy and very friendly. The weather was perfect (17 degrees and sunny) and the girls had a great time exploring a new dog run and meeting some new friends.

New Coats
Today we both had the day off as it was Labor Gratitude Day. There was a cold wind out so we decided to dress Jazz and Dixie in their new coats for our walk today. Shin bought them for the girls on Sunday on our walk over to Pony Park. Dixie does not like to wear hers and begins her walk as Spiderman climbing walls! I think after she gets outside and realises it keeps her a little warmer she puts up with it but is glad to get it off again once inside! We stopped by Charleston House Pet Cafe for a coffee/tea and cake/quiche to warm up a little. The staff showed us a photo album they had made with all their doggy vistors. Jazz and Dixie were in the album from a time we visited there in the summer holidays. The last two pics are taken at the cafe with my mobile thus the poor quality.

Happy Thanksgiving!
I am really thankful that I have such a wonderful place for Jazz and Dixie to go each week to play and also to stay when I go away. Dog Inc staff really look after Jazz and Dixie. I'm also thankful that we are all healthy here and that we can spend many wonderful days together. Tomorrow is a national holiday here in Japan - Labor Gratitude Day - yes I am thankful I don't have to work!

An award and more autumn!
A new beagle friend of ours, Xsara has given us the BTB Award. : "this award is presented to a successful blogger, one who can “be the blog” - making it their own, staying with it, interacting with the readers, and just plain having fun." Thank you very much for thinking of us Xsara. We would like to pass this award on to Fei , Nugget, Pippa and AO4.
On Sunday afternoon it was so lovely we took the girls over to Himonya Park (nicknamed by us Pony Park) for a change of scenery. Being a Sunday all the ponies were out giving pony rides to many little children. Jazz and Dixie were very curious! After saying hi to the ponies we took a stroll around the pond complete with little shrine and took some more autumn snaps. There were many row boats on the pond today and many ducks there for the bread. Jazz and Dixie were both very interested with all the extra activity going on on the water today.

Autumn is Here!
I have been writing reports for school so its been more than a week since I wrote or visited any other blogs. I have a lot of catching up to do! Anyway today was a beautiful autumn day so when I took Jazz and Dixie out for their morning walk I took along the camera to snap a few shots of the girls in the autumn leaves. Later in the afternoon we went over to the Pony Park with Shin and took the camera along too so I will post those pics tomorrow.

A New Member of the Family!
Jazz's brother (from the same litter), Beat has a new sibling! My Japanese is not very good so I can't say if this darling little 6 month old puppy which looks a lot like Dixie did at the same age is a boy or a girl. The puppy's name is Pokki. We usually meet up with Beat and sister Momo about twice a year so we can't wait to meet up again and meet Pokki is person. Wow 3 beagles! Shin don't get any ideas!!
